This picture of our oldest son Steven,
was taken his Senior year. Steven has
many talents, one of which is his ability
to teach himself things like playing the
guitar.
YEA! STEVEN, we were quite proud!
He graduated in 2005.

We are members of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In December of 2006 we were
fortunate enough to fly to Salt Lake City with
Steven to deliver him to the MTC. We were
very happy that Steven chose to go on a 2 year
Mission and he was sent to the Torreon, Mexico area.
We had no idea how hard it would be to leave
Steven there and have to come back home knowing
it would be 2 YEARS before we saw him again. But
we also knew it would be a great opportunity for him
to grow and learn some life lessons.
In December of 2008 we all returned to the airport in anticipation of "the return of Steven". We had been in contact with him every week while he was gone via email, and had spoken to him on the phone 2 times a year, once on Mother's Day and once on Christmas Day. We all crowded the airport and waited patiently (ok, maybe not patiently) for Steven to walk off his plane, his companion and himself were the LAST two to depart. We had our signs ready just incase he didn't recognize the LARGE group of his family standing there. It was a GREAT moment and one we hope to relive with his 4 younger brothers one day. Steven did a lot of "growing" while he was gone, both in maturity as well as spiritually. He has shown a great deal of dedication to his church callings and was fortunate to beable to return to the job he had prior to leaving. He speaks spanish fluently and he hopes to be able to start some college classes soon. But the BEST news we have to share is that Steven has found his Eternal companion and they will be getting married in May of this year.
Her name is Julie and she is a great girl, she has a sharp wit, and is very straight forward, (two things I admire in a person). I am REALLY looking forward to having a daughter in law. I can see that Steven is very happy and that's all a parent really wants to see is their son happy and succeeding.
With the addition of Julie we become grandparents, WAIT!! Don't assume! What we mean is we will have a GrandDOG. Her name is Isabella Flower and she is a cute little pug who is FULL of energy!
